OUR MISSION
Our Eyes Are Fixed On Christ…
To reveal God’s love to the Stepz (Stepchildren, Stepparents and Stepguardians) and to declare His glory and His marvellous deeds among all Stepz. To bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release the prisoners from darkness, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion. To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. The Stepz shall be called the oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendour. Being a Step is a calling from God, you should not disregard yourself as less of a being, but rather you should love and respect one another, embrace your calling and glorify God through your actions, words, behaviour and conducts.
Take the First Step Towards God’s Love
The scripture says:
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”. Jeremiah 29:11.
The Lord said, ” Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and my burden is light”. Mathew 11:28-30.
The purpose and values of this ministry revolve around God and His word (The Holy Bible). Our purpose is to reveal God’s love to the Stepz and to declare His glory and His marvellous deeds among all Stepz. To ensure the Stepz are strongly aware that the thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy, whereas Jesus Christ came that they may have life and have it to the full. John 10:10. To make God’s principles and standards known to the Stepz.
OUR VALUES
To love God and to love one another. Love the Lord our God with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds and with all our strength.
Love your neighbour as yourself. Mark 12:30-31
To put God first and acknowledge him in everything we do. We should submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Ephesians 5:21 NIV
Give to everyone what we owe them. If we owe taxes, pay taxes, if revenue, then revenue, if respect, then respect, if honour, then honour.
To keep our lives free from the love of money and be content with what we have, because God has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”.
Finally, we are to be like-minded; be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. We should not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessings, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8-9.
