A Wounded Heart

She slept in your womb, yet she has never loved you. As a kid she wandered why you left and never looked back. Her heart was filled with anger, resentment, bitterness, and hatred. She killed you in her heart. Yes, you were dead to her. She thank God for purging her all of these diseases. Now she doesn’t hate you, but she feels absolutely nothing for you. She has no love or compassion for you. You’re like a stranger that has crossed paths with her twice.

Oh, how I pray the Lord helps my heart to truly love you. How I pray, the Lord shows me mercy and teaches me to love you and see you as He does.

She renders help because she knows it’s the right thing to do, however, it doesn’t come from a place of love or compassion. She knows you carried her in your womb, unfortunately she has never accepted you as her mummy. She has seen you as a surrogate mother. That’s what you have been for decades.

Oh, how I pray the Lord helps my heart to truly love you. How I pray, the Lord shows me mercy and teaches me to love you and see you as He does.

She wants to see you with a different lens. She wants to see you as God sees you. She wants to love you as God loves you. However, it will take the help of the Holy Spirit to see you and love you as God does. You have hurt her deeply. Your rejection and abandonment has made her to build walls she cannot break down. Though you have hurt her deeply, the Lord has loved her dearly and deeply. She is the apple of God’s eyes. She is fearfully and wonderfully made.

Oh, how I pray the Lord helps my heart to truly love you. How I pray, the Lord shows me mercy and teaches me to love you and see you as He does.

Love is kind. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
